    I had lots of these over the years and keep getting new ones. Only my last one broke some internal connection and had to be replaced early. New one was faster and I was able to transfer about 90% of the files because they are on the CD card. the rest down loaded from my account when it synced. I read a lot on the Kindle and can surf the web for most needs. But some websites just don't work on tables, but that's not the Kindles' fault.

    Just "Fired" my Apple Tablet

    I've had Apple, Samsung and some other off-brand tablet and this is by far the most satisfying and enjoyable table I've had. This just sent my Apple Table into retirement and set-up my Samsung for replacement. What a great tablet with all of the entertainment and productivity offerings. And it's fast compared to the others. I bought one for my wife for Christmas because she said "you always get the good stuff!" She's getting the good stuff too! This is a winner! Bought the charging stand too and am glad that I did. Works as promised!

    Since I am an involuntary Covid 19 shut in, I am thoroughly enjoying my new Fire 8. When my wife is watching something I would rather not watch, I can plug in my ear phones and watch any thing I want. Since my vision is poor, I can watch a movie on my Fire 8 more clearly than on our big screen TV,

    Cheap Tablet with A lot of Power

    When I bought this tablet it was on sale, so I bought two - one for my dad and one for my niece. My niece is able to use it for games (the App Store is packed full of apps that you’d find on any android or iPhone) and school. My dad uses it mainly to read his books as he likes that you can zoom in on texts. Overall, this tablet is a high value purchase and I recommend it if you’re looking into more expensive tablets like Samsung or iPad that do basically the same thing if you’re just going to use apps or use it for zoom. If you have a kid that’s using it, set up an amazon household kids account for them so you can approve their purchase. My niece has accidentally bought a few things since she was logged in on her mom’s account originally.

    I got this tablet for my daughter because she’s always wanting my phone and she’s way to young for a cellphone . This was a great purchase, I got it on sale at the time it was the best decision I ever made . I would definitely recommend. Especially because there is a child feature on it and I can monitor what she is able to do and see

    I bought this for my granddaughter who already had an older Kindle. The screen on her old one was cracked & really just a mess. I got her this new one and you would have thought I bought her a new car. She said who would not be excited over a new tablet. I would say I was a hero for buying this Kindle. She was very pleased with it.

    This is one of several 8 inch Kindle Fires I have bought as they upgrade them. I actually bought two. They perform as real readers and are not so heavy as an iPad. I always add a 128 chip so that I can download Netflix series to watch on trips. I like the new type C power connector. I donate the last years models to individuals that need one. Very reliable and much tougher than a full iPad. A good source of music for even the best headphones.
