Space Invader Slopes

By John Rowe
In this activity, students will aim a spaceship at randomly positioned space invaders to introduce them to the concept of the slope of a straight line. Students begin by entering and modifying coordinate pairs before defining specific slopes and ultimately equations of straight lines in the form $$y=mx+c. Students have the opportunity to get unlimited practice on the final screen, with the score and accuracy shown on their screens.
