Viks says its design for the GT is inspired by Lamborghinis
The design eschews a conventional seat tube and down tube in favour of an open frame, which is made of two joined aluminium tube sets. Linkage at the head tube, the seatpost and the bottom bracket give it rigidity. The bars and stem are made in one piece and joined to the frame via a hinge rather than a conventional head tube.

Viks says that being made of aluminium the bike weighs under 10kg, making it attractive for commuting. The company’s standard bikes follow similar design principles, but being made of steel tubing are a bit heavier. Viks says that the ride is quite sporty and that there’s minimal flex despite the absence of a seat tube or the conventional triangulated bike frame design.

The company has been hatching the idea for the GT since 2013, but didn’t actually build the first bike until this summer. Naturally it decided to paint the first frame in Lamborghini yellow. The bike comes with a single speed Gates belt drive and mechanical disc brakes as well as blingy carbon five spoked wheels.
