In fulfillment of this mission, UC Online is seeking a candidate for the positoin of Assistant Director Strategic Marketing.

The Assistant Director of Marketing (ADM) is responsible for the development of unique, complex marketing strategies and campaigns in support of University of Cincinnati Online certificates and degree programs.  The ADM leads a team of 1 or more marketing team members to create diversified marketing campaigns that yield a quantifiable and significant return on investment. This role is a leader in the marketing organization and helps across all the facets of marketing including brand strategy development, research, copywriting, interpersonal collaboration, project management, analysis, and vendor relationships. This role has more responsibility for the financial performance of the online portfolio and positively influences the fiscal performance of the programs assigned as well as the quality of UC Online relationships with both internal and external constituents.   

Essential Functions 

  • Coach and supervise team to enhance their strengths, develop their opportunity areas and help deliver on their program new student goals. 

  • Train and teach new hires and more junior members of the organization. 

  • Help manage overall internal budget and associated expenditures.  

  • Help manage external vendor relationships and performance.  

  • Collaborate with Enrollment leader to build overall strategies and multi-channel initiatives for all the UC Online managed programs. 

  • Be the single point of contact for vendors where multiple programs are participating. 

  • Be a key liaison for marketing in developing relationships with a wide variety of constituencies within the UC campus and externally as needed.  

  • Have fiscal responsibility for delivering UC Online marketing goals. 

  • Do more high-level research on the latest in digital marketing, higher education, and the most efficient marketing channels to drive leads and return-on-investment. 

  • Develop and implement data-driven, metric-based marketing plans and assessment tools with his/her team. 

  • Oversee data compilation and analysis and use CRM to analyze database of prospective students and forecast future student conversions. 

  • Track and report on campaign response rates, cost-per-lead by source, and cost-per-start by each source across programs as well as determine return-on-investment on campaign expenditures. 

  • Perform related duties as assigned.  

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in product or service marketing, campaign planning, strategy development, and digital marketing. 

  • CRM experience.
